Here you have the competences to be acquired by my participation in the Job-Shadowing. It is necessary to take into consideration that I am a Latin teacher, so I am going to develop not just competence connected to my subject, Classical Culture, but conneted to general methodologies to teach languages, specially Ancient Greek. In addition I will get to know the education system at this school, specially regarding the way to face students' difficult behavior.
COMPETENCES TO BE ACQUIRED BY THE PARTICIPANT:
§
Implementation of communicative methodologies as the cornerstone of
the teaching system of the English Department and the incorporation of such
methodologies in the didactic programming of the Department.
§
Implementation of new collaborative methodologies such as flipped
classrooms or project work in the participant’s classes.
§
Improvement of coexistence within the classes and the sending
institution in general: decrease of the number of incidents as well as the
rate of school failure and the subsequent school dropping effect.
§
Acquisition of new tools to improve coexistence and especially the
procedures for their implementation in the sending centre.
§
Increase of the awareness of the need to improve the centre’s
attention of those students at social risk.
§
Development of the teaching staff’s awareness and motivation to
introduce methodological, organisational and curricular changes which reduce
both the centre’s failure rate and coexistence incidents.
§
Motivation to start a research process proper to the sending
institution in order to create its own model.
